This morning we had no alarm. No need to get up and pack. Happy times. However we do stay in the Kirchstraße… At 7.00 the church bells were ringing loud and clear! So we had snooze time, which is even better I think 😅😅😅

We had a good time doing some chores in the appartment before we go for brunch in the town centre. First stop is the bakery to get some laugenbrötchen (bretzel like rolls), before we go for a pinsa (like pizza, but better) in an Italian restaurant. After that we go for resupply in the mall. At the Intersport I get personalized inlays for my shoes, custom made by heating the soles and then stepping on them while they cool down and get shaped by my feet. Hopefully this keeps the dreaded Achilles issues at bay. So far it’s been there but manageable. Yet there’s always the fear that small injuries get worse and become a real issue. We both had to get used to our new shoes the last week, and I hope these new soles will solve the issues I had wit them. Meanwhile Mark is trying to get rid of some blisters. Hiking; nothing but fun 😂😂😂

To be honest, we are satisfied with the way our bodies are coping with the trail so far.

With my new inlays and the food for next week, we get back to our appartment to re organise the groceries.

I go out to get tea from the Teegeschwendner, my favorite German teashop, that’s just around the corner here!

We go for dinner at Vinotec pane e vino, where we have a really good pasta meal. After we paid, the waitress askes if we enjoyed the sun today. When I explain why we have such sunburned faces, she’s surprised and soon we have a chat with part of the restaurant, including the people who sat next to us😅. We have a nice chat with them before we go home to repack and get some sleep. Good to have met you, Sandra and Guido!
