We sleep in a bit and first get some breakfast at Luca. Or actually, I first go to find my bank card at the pharmacy, where I left it at the counter yesterday…. Luckily, it indeed was there! So grateful for the honest people in the world!
After that, we go for coffee, this time at Kaffiya, on the other side of the Dorna river. This walk gives us the opportunity to see a bit more of Vatra Dornei.
It feels like a strange town. Busy, quite large, but there is a lot of contrast in buildings that are looking neatly renovated, and buildings that are clearly in need of a renovation (or demolition). The majority of the shops give the impression that the population of Vatra Dornei isn’t wealthy. Yet there are 2 speciality coffee bars in town. It’s a bit of a mystery town to us, but everyone is friendly and helpful (exept for the cashier at the Kaufland..😅)
After coffee, we go back home and finish the planning for the next section And for the resupply. With our grocery list, we first got to the Coloana (a building material store), where we are in luck and find a big gas canister! Now we have enough until Brasov!
After that we do our resupply at the Kaufland (note to self: try to find a smaller supermarket next time) and go back home with all our goodies.
There it’s time for repacking, more laundry and all kinds of small chores. Somehow, despite the time we had yesterday, it’s been a really busy restday!
