Day 36, Brough – Hull 🛳️ Rotterdam

Weather: 🌤️🌤️🌤️🌤️🌤️
Picnic: 🥪🥪🥪🥪(4 out of 5, a good breakfast at a bakery, and we brought scones along for lunch)
Track: 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 (3 out of 5, no grassy dykes, interesting hike into the port area of Hull)
Milestone: England ✅
Boat: 🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️ (4 out of 5, private cabin with toilet and shower!!)
Name of followed trail: Trans Pennine trail

After a good night of sleep, we get op on a bright sunny morning. Time for shorts once again! We’ll be leaving England sun tanned, who’d have guessed! 😎😎

We first stop at a bakery for some breakfast, and also buy lunch, because we don’t think there is much around today.

We get back on trail and immediately snel the salty air. The sea is getting close now! Strange, because yesterday we didn’t smell it yet.

We have a nice day of walking today. No grassy dykes, which is a surprise and relief😅, eventhough we still walk along the water most of the time. We get through some parks, and the port area is also quite interesting, though not always pretty.

The memorial for the Lost sailors is impressive, as is another memorial for the boats lost at sea.

After having some food in a upcoming part of the port city, we walk past the Siemens windmill plant. Also a very impressive thing to watch!

Finally, we get to the boat with plenty of time to spare. We board the ship and find our cabin. Quite the luxury with our own toilet and shower!

We get some dinner and go to bed. Hiking in the Netherlands again tomorrow!
