Day 95, Wiesent – Haukenzell

We start our day with resupplying (and 2nd breakfast) in the village down the hill.

From there we walk through mostly forest slowly upward. We find lots of very tasty blueberries along the way 😋😋

The trail is really nice and the views are great! Again we see a change in the landscape. The hills become taller and the villages more spread out. Buildings have short round towers here and in we see more chalet style houses spread out in large meadows. It feels like the mountains are just around the corner!

We walk through quite a few villages , but no cafe’s are open today, since it’s Monday. We have our lunch half while standing in the forest, and half in Wiesenfelden at the quite nice) bus stop.

The bus stop is next to a public toilet, which makes it a luxury stop 😁

We continue through fields and over the hills, until we get to the Pilgrämsberg. Here we have a great view over the upcoming mountains. Despite the warm weather, we’re looking forward to it!

We go over the hill and through the village of Haukenzell into the forest again. Our first option to camp isn’t much, so we continue little bit further. When we see a picnic be xh, we know we’ve found our place for tonight!

We sit down, relax and chat with our friends. I also tend to my feet, where I found a blister, and the heat rash on my legs. Its important to keep taking care of yourself on hikes as long as this one. We enjoy a good noodle meal with chocolate mousse dessert. Thanks Dr Oetker!

We pitch our tent just before dark. When we’re settled, we watch the fireflies fly around our tent. They are such amazing creatures! We hear a deer bark and hear one walking around close to the tent. I love free camping like this!
