A day of doing nothing yet a lot.
We’ve had a good rest, with sleeping in, having a late lunch and a thorough massage. Active, because we did laundry, Mark went for a haircut, we did some shopping and prepared a package to send home. It was also time to look a bit further ahead to the rejoining of E8 at the Serbian border. So I tried to make our planned zerodays match etc. This took quite some planning and replanning. Getting an overview on stretches that long are quite simple in a laptop, but on the phone, I found it frustrating and very time consuming. Plus, I basically ended up planning it the way it was in the first place, so all the replanning had been a waste of time…😖😫 A waste of time while sitting comfortably with a cup of tea, but a waste of time none te less.
After our massage we went for dinner in a restaurant in the walls of the citadel. Alba Iulia is a beautiful fortified old town.
We really enjoyed the luxury dinner that was paired with Romanian wines. The owner of the restaurant is a winemaker and is very knowledgeable and passionate about Romanian wines. It was a great way to celebrate 3000 miles and (almost) 5000km.
After that, it was time to get some sleep. Another zeroday tomorrow!

Bravo, very glad you both got to enjoy your time off in Alba Iulia, with restaurant, massage and shopping dates. You both deserve some rest and relaxation with some pampering thrown in for good measure.
